Oral hygiene is a process done to prevent dental emergencies or oral health problems, commonly gum diseases. Dental hygiene can be simply done at the convenience of your homes and supplemented by professional dental care by your dentists.

Dental hygiene plays an important role in oral health care for it is the most important measure in preventing periodontal diseases such as receding gums, gingivitis and bleeding gums as the most common. It includes brushing which is the most fundamental process and flossing, both are important in preventing bacteria build up and lowers the risk of having a gum disease.

By not observing proper dental hygiene, you will be susceptible with gum disease. And if gum disease progress and left untreated it may lead to serious medical health problems which includes heart and respiratory diseases.
